University of Wollongong Is Awarded Funds To Develop New Type of Condom

target=”_blank”>The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has provided $100,000 in funding to further the development of hydrogel condoms. The money was awarded to the University of Wollongong in Australia who are developing a successor to latex condoms.

Hydrogels have a number of properties not found in latex, for instance they can be embedded with lubricants or drugs and can also be designed to feel more like natural skin.
