Digitises film for comparison with digital images

When used with the CAD Pro Advantage film digitiser, Clinical Express 3.0 software enables to digitise prior film-based studies for review alongside new studies on digital mammography workstations. The digitiser provides high image quality and includes an easy-to-use film feeder. A study conducted by Johns Hopkins university supports the use of digitising prior mammography studies for reference and review. According to the study, 120 mammography examinations were selected, representing a range of patients who had screening or diagnostic procedures. Eight radiologists interpreted all examinations, half as originals and half as digital images on a workstation. There was no statistically significant difference between film and soft-copy interpretations.
