FIME 2015, CARRYING ON AN EXCELLENT TRADITION

Premier Trade Show for World's Largest Medical Devices' Market Runs From 5-7, August, 2015

FIME 2015 finishes up today and for those of you who were lucky to be in Miami Beach, Florida it has proven to be time well spent. FIME is the premier medical trade show in the US which is the world’s largest market for medical devices. Last year the event received over 52,000 visitors with the majority coming from the Americas.

Celitron and Biomedical Srl are just two of the many thousands of exhibitors that are on show at FIME this year.

Celitron celebrated its tenth year in business this year and is going from strength to strength. Its ISS AC-575 Integrated Sterilizer & Shredder is a high-quality compact medical hazardous waste solution for on-site biohazard waste management. Its powerful shredding/ crushing blades can rotate in two directions to effectively reduce the size and volume of the waste by 80 percent. It can process between 15 to 25 kg of waste in as fast a time as 25 minutes.

Biomedical presented, TATO, its new microwave thermoablation device at this years FIME. TATO (Thermal Ablation Treatments for Oncology) is a multi-applicator system for microwave thermal ablation (MWA), for treating cancer of the kidney, liver, lung, prostate and thyroid. It is the first microwave multi-applicator ablation system able to operate without a cooling system and offers the physician a greater degree of control over surgery duration and power distribution, even mid procedure.
