Baptist Emergency Hospital Plans Another ED In San Antonio, Texas

Baptist Emergency Hospital (San Antonio, Texas) plans to break ground this month on a new two-story hospital, Baptist Emergency Hospital Zarzamora, in the south San Antonio, Texas, area.

The 38,500 square-foot facility will house an emergency department, inpatient beds, imaging center, and ambulatory service center. It’s expected to open by the end of 2016.

Baptist Emergency Hospital has a joint venture partnership with Emerus Health to build and manage the site.

In addition to the Zarzamora location, Baptist Emergency plans to operate six EDs in the area, including Hausman, Overlook, Thousand Oaks, Westover Hills, and Schertz, Texas.
