It's our pleasure to share this case study titled “Avian Bornavirus in Parrots”. We believe this can provide a quick review for avian veterinarians.

This case study was conducted by Professor Hung-Yi Wu, from the Department of Veterinary Medicine, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology using AmiShield veterinary chemistry analyzer and the dedicated Avian / Reptile panel disc. According to the study, the birds infected with Avian Bornavirus (ABV) may later develop obvious symptoms of Proventricular dilatation disease (PDD). Also, the metabolic markers can reveal abnormal results from the chemistry tests.
