The Word "Ambulatory" refers to being in motion. Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring or ABPM was first introduced in the year 1960 and is now widely used to assess blood pressure in real-time. This allows a doctor to assess the Patient’s blood pressure during their routine activities in daily life, whether working, sleeping, or doing chores.

How does it work?

WBP-02A consists of a blood pressure cuff worn on the upper arm and an attached small recording device. Patients usually wear the ABPM device for 24 hours. Throughout that time, it records their blood pressure, typically at 15/ 30 minute or different time intervals, during their daily activities or sleeps. It provides doctors with a complete record of your blood pressure in a different state of their body.

How to measure Blood Pressure with ABPM?

Using ABPM #hingmed WBP-02A to diagnose hypertension or high blood pressure, need a different approach to evaluate your blood pressure recordings. The technique most commonly used for evaluating the results of ABPM is to average a person's systolic and diastolic blood pressures across the full 24-hour period. Separate averages are also calculated for both awake and sleeping hours.
