4K Stabilized Surgical Head Camera for Surgeon-POV Recording
A more stable first-person view for surgical teaching, documentation and case review
Fixed operating room cameras provide a useful overview of the surgical environment, but their view of the operative field may be blocked by surgeons, assistants, instruments or surgical lights. A head-mounted camera follows the surgeon’s real working angle, although natural head movement can make conventional wearable-camera footage difficult to watch.
The SMO 4K Stabilized Surgical Head Camera System combines a compact gimbal camera, an LED surgical headlight and an adjustable headband to capture procedures from the surgeon’s point of view. Real-time mechanical stabilization helps reduce image movement and produces smoother footage for surgical teaching, clinical documentation, demonstrations and post-case review.
The system supports 3840 × 2160 4K local recording and real-time HDMI output for connection to an operating room monitor, external recorder or teaching display. Advanced configurations also support Wi-Fi preview and a 2.4G joystick remote controller, allowing an assistant to preview the image and adjust the camera direction when required.
Different fixed-focus lenses are available for different working distances and depths of field. The commonly selected F8.0 long-depth-of-field lens helps keep both shallow and deeper areas of the operative field clear, reducing the need for repeated focus adjustment during recording.
Typical applications include cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedic surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, ENT, neurosurgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and surgical training.
The standard configuration includes the stabilized 4K head-mounted camera with LED headlight, control box with built-in rechargeable battery, joystick remote controller, high-speed TF memory card, lens, HDMI cable, charger and USB Type-C charging cable. Typical operating time is up to approximately six hours, depending on the selected functions and working conditions.
