The complete supporting project of medical doors for the campus of The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University undertaken by our factory has been fully finished and passed the completion acceptance inspection. Covering all functional medical zones including the Central Operating Theatre, Radiology Imaging Center, Obstetrics Department, ICU and outpatient consultation rooms, this project delivered one-stop full-process services encompassing supply, installation and testing of special medical doors for the entire campus.

As a top-tier Grade A tertiary general hospital in Southwest China, The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University adopts national first-class standards for medical building construction, imposing stringent requirements on nosocomial infection prevention and control, radiation safety, passage durability and spatial adaptability. The overall project featured multiple industry-wide technical challenges: numerous segmented departments across the campus with a large volume of non-standard door opening sizes; the pressure differential and antibacterial sealing indicators for operating theatres and clean laboratories had to pass verification by health and infection control authorities in a single inspection; radiation shielding for CT, DR and interventional operating rooms required a full set of authoritative test reports; furthermore, the construction schedule was tight, necessitating coordinated cross-work with civil engineering and decoration teams simultaneously.

During the project preparation phase, our professional technical team followed up throughout the drawing coordination work for the campus, conducting on-site rechecks of door opening parameters floor by floor and department by department, and developing customized matching solutions for different medical spaces. Automatic airtight doors were installed for clean operating areas, free of spliced gaps that harbour contaminants, capable of stably maintaining standard pressure differentials for clean zones. Equipped with dual contact-free activation via foot pedals and infrared sensors, these doors reduce the risk of cross nosocomial infection through hardware design. Lightweight composite lead shielding structures were adopted for lead-lined protective doors in the imaging center, with lead rubber sealing strips fitted along all four door edges to eliminate radiation leakage. Each protective door is delivered with a qualified radiation shielding test certificate, fully complying with mandatory acceptance criteria for radiology departments in Grade A tertiary hospitals.

Throughout project execution, we arranged phased, orderly shipments in line with the hospital’s overall construction timeline and deployed professional installation teams to carry out simultaneous zoning operations. We proactively coordinated construction milestones with the general decoration contractor to ensure the overall construction progress would not be delayed by door and window works. A complete dossier of acceptance documents including antibacterial test reports, radiation safety qualifications and product certificates is supplied alongside all products upon factory delivery, greatly streamlining the approval procedures for the hospital’s infrastructure department.
