Donation to children's hospital

Social Engagement of SternMed GmbH

SternMed GmbH’s vision is to make high-quality medical equipment available to as many people as possible all over the world. This is not the only reason why we are involved in many social projects around the world and help to give people a healthy perspective.

One example of our social commitment is our donation of our Lumax 25 operating light system to the children’s hospital in Luzk, Ukraine. Here, children are treated and operated on who were often born with physical disabilities as a result of the reactor catastrophe in Chernobyl. We are very happy to be able to do something good for the people and especially the children there with our gift. The feedback from the doctors at the children’s hospital is very touching and highly professional at the same time. This is how the chief neurosurgeon Dr. Michael Lovga writes in his grateful letter:

“Due to the double exposure of the Lumax 25, I have optimal light, can illuminate the entire work area well and both arms are easy to position, but then remain stable in the set position. […] There is no similarly good lighting so far.”
