With energy for the skin

32. DDL Congress (German Dermatological Laser Association)

The German Dermatological Laser Society (DDL) welcomes to their annual conference this year under the motto "with energy for the skin". The event will take place from May 5 to 7, 2023 in Berchtesgadener Land and offers a broad program with top-class speakers on all important light and laser topics. Our new TBH extraction systems of the Heath series with the patented InLine filter will be used in hands-on courses on patients.

Special attention will be paid to the new legislation on protection from non-ionizing radiation in humans (NiSV*), which requires up-to-date expertise and an update every 5 years. For this reason, DDL has developed a special course format for an NiSV-compliant all-in-one update. The event also offers practically oriented modules on NiSV and TROS with seminars on risk assessment and a thematic block on "Occupational Safety and Patient Protection" including a Clean Air Management setup.

In addition to the industry exhibition, there will be workshops, a general meeting, satellite symposia and a Bavarian evening. Sessions will cover topics such as outpatient dermato-oncology, technology and guidelines, history and future of laser dermatology, and lasers and combinations.

Conference presidents Dr. Helmut Hahn and Prof. Uwe Paasch look forward to personally welcoming all attendees to the annual meeting and presenting the latest developments in laser technology and other energy-based devices, as well as medical-pharmaceutical-cosmetology helpful tools.

The 2023 DDL event will feature an extensive program for all attendees. On Friday, May 5, laser safety courses to earn the Laser Safety Officer qualification will be offered both face-to-face and online. An NiSV technical course will also be offered online and will conclude with a learning objectives test in attendance at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Satellite symposia will be held on Friday and Sunday, including hands-on training on patients in small groups. The DDL general meeting and a Bavarian evening are also part of Industry Connect.

On Saturday, May 6, workshops on "Skin Rejuvenation Reimagined" will be held, followed by a gala social evening.

The event also includes a variety of topics and highlights that will be discussed on both days. These include sessions on "Occupational Health and Safety and Patient Safety," "Lasers in Outpatient Dermato-Oncology" in cooperation with Onkoderm, "Technology in Conversation - Tech Talks," "Optical or Operative" in cooperation with DGPRÄC & DGDC, "Lasers & Light According to Guidelines Nationally and Internationally" in cooperation with ÖGDV & SGLM, "Safe & Lasers inside and outside NISV" in cooperation with BVDD & DDA, "Cutting Edge - the DDL Session" in cooperation with IMCAS, "History and Future of Laser Dermatology", "Laser & Light in Vessels and Pigments" in cooperation with SGLM & DGLM, "Lasers and Combinations" in cooperation with ISAC and "Laser Next Generation & Metaverse" in cooperation with DDG & BVDD.
