New Ceraform Dental ® Ceramics designed for filling bone defects

CERAFORM DENTAL® ceramics, manufactured by TEKNIMED, are made from tricalcium phosphate and hydroxyapatite. They are designed for filling bone defects.

Tricalcium phosphate has faster resorption kinetics than hydroxyapatite. Calcium phosphates used for making ceramics are manufactured and inspected by TEKNIMED. They comply with standards ISO 13779-1, ASTM F1185 and ASTM F1088.

Surgeons have two options for bone filling: autologous or heterologous graft.

These different methods give satisfactory results. Autologous grafts remain inadequate for major bone loss. Synthetic bone substitution represents a filling solution without any contamination risks (Aids, Creutzfeld-Jacob disease, etc.).

Over more than 20 years, numerous clinical studies have shown the benefits of calcium phosphate ceramics as an effective alternative for filling bone tissue in maxillo-facial and ORL surgery, neuro-surgery, odontology and orthopaedics.
