ABOUT FLUIDIZED BED PROCESSOR (FBP)
In pharmaceuticals, a fluid bed processor is used for granulation, coating on granules, drying, and palletization of granule particles. The FBE (Fluid Bed Equipment) approach is used to increase product quality, minimize processing time, and lower production costs.
PRINCIPAL
Fluid Bed Processor For Granulation (FBP) involves a fluidized bed of solid particles through which hot air is passed at high pressure via air distribution plate located at the bottom of the container.
Hot air continuously holds the particles in an air space for drying, this is also known as a fluidized state.
Using spray nozzle granulating liquid or coating solution is sprayed onto fluidized granules or particles respectively followed by drying with hot air.
