WAS : SILVER 2023 ecovadis Sustainability Rating

WAS receives the silver medal in the Ecovadis "Sustainability Rating"

Wietmarscher Ambulanz- und Sonderfahrzeug GmbH (WAS) has submitted documents for the internationally recognised EcoVadis sustainability rating for the first time and achieved a great result straight away: With 63 out of a maximum of 100 points, we are among the top 18% of companies worldwide that have been assessed by EcoVadis (as of November 2023). WAS was awarded a silver medal for this sustainability performance.

According to EcoVadis, WAS has a structured sustainability concept and comprehensive sustainability reporting, among other things. Within our "Manufacture of bodies, superstructures and trailers" sector, we are even among the top 7% of the companies assessed.

Sustainability standards and ratings are becoming increasingly important for purchasing organisations in the supply chain. More and more customers are requesting this information and making it a prerequisite for awarding contracts.

As an independent international platform for sustainability ratings, EcoVadis analyses and evaluates the performance of companies in the key areas of sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR). The method is based on international sustainability standards and combines the requirements of the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000, a guideline on social responsibility, among others, in a comprehensive survey. More than 100,000 companies around the world cooperate with EcoVadis and allow the assessment service to analyse their value chain and share the results with their stakeholders.
