Researchers at the university of Shanghai conducted a literature review on “current application and future directions of photobiomodulation in central nervous diseases”. They summarized that “our analysis provides preliminary evidence that low-level-laser-therapy applied to the head is an effective therapeutic tool for the treatment of central nervous system diseases” such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and major depressive disorder.
