Wincomm and Portwell to Showcase Next-Gen Medical AI Computing at MEDICA 2026
A Broader Computing Portfolio from Mobile care, Medical AI and Operating Room
Hsinchu, Taiwan — Wincomm, a Portwell company, will join Portwell Taiwan and Portwell Europe at MEDICA 2026 to present a shared direction for medical AI computing. Taking place November 16–19 in Düsseldorf, Germany, the joint showcase at Hall 12, Stand C76 will connect embedded computing, medical All-in-One (AIO) PCs, and portable devices across a wider range of healthcare applications.
The exhibition highlights three developments: the companies’ first joint MEDICA presentation, Wincomm’s entry into portable medical tablets, and a coordinated product portfolio supporting the evolution of healthcare computing from bedside information access to GPU-accelerated medical AI.
First Joint Exhibition: Bringing Complementary Computing Platforms Together
For the first time, Wincomm and Portwell will exhibit together at MEDICA, combining Wincomm’s medical AIO computing expertise with Portwell’s embedded and box PC portfolio, including ARM- and AMD-based platforms.
With participation from Portwell Taiwan and Portwell Europe, the showcase brings together product engineering expertise and regional support to help medical equipment manufacturers and system integrators explore suitable computing architectures for their applications.
The joint presentation reflects a broader development in healthcare technology: demand for more diverse computing platforms tailored to different workloads, power requirements, installation constraints, and system integration needs. By presenting their complementary portfolios together, Wincomm and Portwell offer visitors a more comprehensive view of the platforms available for developing connected medical equipment and deploying intelligence at the clinical edge.
WMT-101 Debut: Expanding Wincomm’s Portfolio into Portable Medical Computing
MEDICA 2026 will mark the debut of WMT-101, Wincomm’s new portable medical tablet, extending the company’s healthcare computing portfolio beyond fixed and cart-mounted systems.
Powered by an Intel® N150 processor, the WMT-101 features a 10.1-inch, 1920 × 1200 touchscreen with a typical brightness of 700 nits. Its fanless design, whole-system IP67 protection, and easy-wipe surfaces address practical requirements for mobile use and routine cleaning.
Integrated 1D/2D barcode scanning and front-facing NFC support data capture for workflows such as patient identification, medication verification, and medical inventory management when connected to compatible healthcare applications. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth® 5.2, and optional 4G/5G connectivity provide deployment flexibility.
At approximately 930g and 12.7mm thick, the WMT-101 brings a portable option to mobile rounds, bedside documentation, and other point-of-care applications. Its introduction reflects the growing need to bring information access and data capture directly to the care encounter.
A Shared Medical AI Direction: Application-Specific Platforms Across the Care Environment
Together, Wincomm and the Portwell group will present a medical AI development direction centered on application-specific computing: combining mobility, graphics acceleration, clinical integration, and serviceability according to the needs of each care setting.
The latest product announcements further illustrate this direction. The WMP-22U/24U medical cart series combines AI-ready processing with battery management and mobile power capabilities; the WMP-22S/24S series supports discrete NVIDIA® Blackwell MXM graphics for demanding imaging applications. The newly announced WMP-22V/24V-PIS-L operating room series also demonstrates Wincomm’s development focus on higher computing performance, lighter construction, and integrated power supplies.
Across these platforms, the shared emphasis is on bringing appropriate computing performance closer to clinical workflows while addressing power continuity, cleaning, connectivity, and integration requirements. Energy-efficient designs, serviceable battery systems, and material and packaging initiatives also reflect the increasing importance of lifecycle management and sustainability in healthcare procurement.
Medical device manufacturers, system integrators, and healthcare technology partners are invited to visit Wincomm and Portwell at Hall 12, Stand C76, MEDICA 2026, to explore the demonstration portfolio and discuss future medical AI development opportunities.
