"Government-Backed GFID Event to Showcase Innovative Infectious Disease Response Solutions"
Osong, South Korea – October 24, 2023
In a dynamic move toward advancing infectious disease response technologies, the Government-wide R&D Fund for Infectious Disease Research (GFID) is set to host a significant event titled "Empirical Research and Promotion of Research Results" on October 24th and 25th, 2023, at the Chungcheongbuk-do C&V Center, located in the heart of Osong, South Korea.
This two-day event is tailored for researchers and companies actively involved in the research and development of infectious disease response strategies, complemented by experts specializing in various practical demonstrations and field applications. Furthermore, government officials from a multitude of ministries, spanning health and welfare, science and ICT, public administration and security, agriculture, food and rural affairs, environment, trade, industry, energy, and food and drug safety, will also be in attendance to foster collaboration.
The event is structured around two core components:
1. The Demonstration Fair:
Exhibition/Field Demonstration Hall: The hallmark of the event, featuring an impressive showcase of research results in quarantine technology and the medical field, including a fully operational field demonstration hall.
Promotional Exhibition Hall: A dedicated area where research results are displayed with a specific focus on medical and quarantine applications.
Field Demonstration Center: Living labs are established, each geared toward individual research tasks, enabling hands-on field demonstrations.
2. The Academic Conference:
This segment is designed to facilitate the sharing of knowledge, successful case presentations regarding field applications of infectious disease response technologies, and presentations by experts to bolster empirical research capabilities.
The event holds great promise in not only disseminating empirical research findings but also in offering an invaluable opportunity for stakeholders to network, collaborate, and contribute to the advancement of biosafety and infectious disease response.
The GFID event represents a concerted effort by the Government of South Korea to promote and support innovative solutions for infectious disease management. Attendees can anticipate a wealth of knowledge sharing, cutting-edge demonstrations, and an environment conducive to fostering practical, actionable results.
As the event unfolds, it is expected that the combined efforts of all participants will drive significant progress in the field of infectious disease response, thereby enhancing public health and biosafety measures in South Korea and beyond.
