Clinical case: comparison between mammography and breast CT
Mammography and breast CT images of the same breast
Within a routine mammography, the experienced radiologist Dr. med. Karsten Ridder discovered an architectural distortion with the indication of BI-RADS V.
This suspicious finding was additionally examined with nu:view breast CT.
These images clearly showed three suspicious lesions, which not only have an architectural distortion but also a high contrast intake. This is not just highly suspicious but typical for a carcinoma. Furthermore, the images depicted a small, intramammary lymph node which turned out to be not metastatic.
This case shows perfectly, how nu:view breast CT can support radiologists in making a clear and reliable diagnosis.
