Case study showing the benefits of using LEDs in a nursing home for dependent elderly people

Retirement homes, hospitals, nursing homes

Why install nightlights in hospital rooms or nursing homes for the elderly?

LED nightlights are the ideal lighting solution for hospitals and nursing homes. Safety, technical installation, comfort, eco-responsibility - the benefits are numerous:

SAFETY

Night-lighting systems offer a safety advantage for the circulation of residents and healthcare staff alike. These wall-mounted LED lights ensure the safety of residents and prevent the risk of falls during night-time movements. They also make the work of staff much easier. "At night, these nightlights are very useful for staff who monitor residents, without having to switch on the ceiling light, which is more intrusive for our elders", says an ACTiLED customer (a healthcare establishment in Nantes, France).

INSTALLATION

Whether for installation or renovation, these luminaires connect directly to the electrical network. Ready to install, they facilitate the work of the installer and/or maintenance team.

ACTiLED health nightlights offer the possibility of replacing nightlights without any new work. The new pilot light fits directly into the existing Thorn ECP flush-mounting box. A jacketed finish compensates for the thickness of the Thorn housing, for an impeccable result.

ECO-RESPONSIBLE

The ACTiLED LED nightlight has an extended lifespan thanks to its LED technology and lower power consumption. Resistant and of French quality, it can be repaired in our workshop in Sainte-Luce-Sur-Loire, France.

CASE STUDY

Feedback from a home for the dependent elderly after 2 years of use.

The Espérance residence in Nantes is delighted with these bedroom nightlights, manufactured in France, just a few kilometers from the nursing home.

"We're satisfied with the quality of the nightlights. We feared that with the regular passage of carts and shocks, they would be damaged. This is not the case; they are intact and shock-resistant. Since they were installed, all the nightlights have been functional, and we've had no complaints about any malfunctions," enthused the customer during our visit to the facility.

Nightlights are practical for residents. They are strategically placed at the entrance to the room and near the bathroom door. "Some prefer to sleep with the lights on, as they are very soft, while others prefer to switch them off, depending on their needs". Everyone is free to turn the lights on and off as they wish, thanks to a switch placed at the entrance to the room. This same "switch allows the night shift to activate this discreet lighting as soon as they enter the resident's private space, without having to move around in the dark", concludes the customer.
