Yikang Medical’s Finger Joint Rehabilitation Assessment System Successfully Selected for the Promotion and Application of High-End Medical Equipment

On November 25, 2025, the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the selection results of the “2025 High-end Medical Equipment Promotion and Application Project”. The “Finger Joint Rehabilitation Assessment and Training System Promotion and Application Project”, jointly submitted by Yikang Medical and Southern Medical University Southern Hospital as the lead medical institution, stood out from the national competition and was successfully selected into the list of only 57 national-level promotion projects.

The High-End Medical Equipment Promotion and Application Project is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Health Commission, and the National Medical Products Administration. This project focuses on key high-end medical equipment products and typical application scenarios, selecting projects that are among the most technologically innovative and clinically applicable nationwide, and that have a strong leading role in medical-engineering collaborative innovation, pilot testing, clinical research, iterative upgrades, and widespread application. The aim is to accelerate the innovative development of high-end medical equipment and promote the large-scale application of new technologies, products, and scenarios.

The A5-2 finger joint rehabilitation assessment system, selected this time, is an intelligent rehabilitation device that integrates assessment and treatment. The system innovatively uses a soft pneumatic glove combined with surface electromyography (EMG) technology to accurately capture the patient’s hand movement intentions in real time, supporting personalized rehabilitation training that combines active and passive techniques. Simultaneously, the system possesses comprehensive hand function assessment and patient management functions, assisting rehabilitation therapists in developing personalized treatment plans and effectively improving rehabilitation efficiency.

This selection is not only an authoritative certification of the product’s technological strength, but also an affirmation of the clinical value of the sub-field of finger joint rehabilitation. With the unanimous recognition of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Health Commission, the National Medical Products Administration, and expert reviewers, this project, guided by policy and through multi-party collaboration, is expected to accelerate its clinical promotion and application nationwide, further driving the development of rehabilitation services towards precision and specialization, and promoting the iteration and overall improvement of the rehabilitation medical equipment industry.
