A NEW STANDARD FOR PET CREMATORIUMS

The company Djurum AB outside city Jönköping use a new environment friendly concept. It has innovative solutions with a unique approach. The crematorium only uses fossil-free fuel and has a heat recovery system to use the heat surplus for heating buildings in the district heating network.

Plant description

The crematorium opened in year 2020 and uses one GEM Matthews Multi5 pet cremator and one GEM SA150 horse cremator. The cremators guarantee individual cremation of both pets and horses. The system is equipped with modern PLC controls and a touch panel for easy use of the plant. Oxygen controlled process guarantees good combustion process. Insertion doors are automatically controlled by hydraulics. The system uses RME as fuel (rapeseed based). The after-burning chamber has 2 seconds residence time to ensure low emissions.

Energy efficient & environment friendly

The Multi5 cremator design technology is focused on high volume, individual pet cremation services that have a strategic interest in maximizing the energy efficiencies between individual and mass pet services. Each model has one large primary chamber for low volume mass services while recycling this energy to assist with the cremation of individual pets at the same time.

Service and maintenance

Service is performed by GEM Matthews service team. Remote access via VPN is standard on all installation.
