Successful CO2 Monitoring with the Mediplus Capnography Range

Since the first infra-red CO2 measuring and recording apparatus was introduced in 1943 by Luft, Capnography has evolved into an essential component of the standard anaesthesia armamentarium.

The primary goal of anaesthetists is to prevent hypoxia. Capnography helps to identify the symptoms before hypoxia can lead to irreversible brain damage. “Recommendations for Standards of Monitoring During Anaesthesia and Recovery” published by AAGBI recommends continuous capnography in ALL patients who are anaesthetised or intubated.

With usage now also extending beyond the operating theatre, Mediplus offers a range of both masks and cannula to suit a wide range of patients depending upon their need and location in the hospital.

A unique dual connector on the mask with sampling line and oxygen line provides excellent tracing of end tidal CO2 while an anti-bacterial filter reduces risk of infection and cross-contamination. The soft material of both mask and nasal cannula ensures maximum comfort for the patient. Ophthalmic and paediatric versions complete the range.
