AI patient conversations, built from the educator's own course material
The MetaMedicsVR AI Platform turns slide decks, PDFs and recorded lectures into virtual patients that students talk to out loud, with automatic rubric scoring and no VR headset.
The MetaMedicsVR AI Platform is a web-based virtual patient simulation platform for health sciences education. Its authoring tool converts the material an educator already teaches with, slide decks, PDFs and recorded lectures, into conversational patient cases. The student speaks with the AI patient out loud or by text, and the patient responds with its own clinical history, personality and emotional state, with no script to follow.
Every session is recorded, transcribed and scored automatically against the rubric the educator defines. Instructors get full transcripts, session replays and dashboards for individual students and for whole cohorts, and can review or override any automated score. Grades and completion data sync with institutional LMS platforms such as Moodle, Canvas and Google Classroom, so there is no parallel gradebook to maintain.
Beyond the conversation, the platform covers virtual patient cases where learners examine the patient, order and interpret diagnostic tests and make treatment decisions, branching clinical decision scenarios, and interactive modules for subjects such as anatomy, pharmacology and ethics. It runs in any browser on any device, with no VR headset required, and is available in English and Spanish.
