Presented by Dr. Andrew Fishman, Neurologist and Cranio-Maxillofacial Oncologic Surgeon, the session will examine practical approaches to facial and lower cranial nerve monitoring in complex skull base and head and neck surgery.
Discussion topics will include neurotology procedures, acoustic neuroma, thyroid surgery, paraganglioma, and parotidectomy. Key areas of focus include stimulation strategies, functional preservation—including hearing monitoring and nerve repair—and safety considerations during monitoring.
