The ethylene oxide sterilization process is the most widely used by many medical device manufacturers and by the pharmaceutical industry.

This method of chemical sterilization is since decades the most popular method thanks to its high efficiency and reliability to sterilize the MD sensitive to high temperature sterilization for example some products of plastic, latex, rubber, ... and also electronic products.

This process uses the ethylene oxide gas which has the following qualities regarding sterilization:

• Perfect propagation and diffusion into the porous materials and inaccessible places of the products to be sterilized.

• Perfect absorption on the thermos-sensitive products;

• No reaction, deformation and deterioration of sterilized materials;

• Low temperature sterilization between 30ºC and 60ºC;

• Go across wrapping membranes of the packaging.
