Accurate coil positioning is one of the key factors for achieving reproducible Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Modern neuronavigation systems provide highly precise information about coil position and orientation, yet this information is typically displayed on a separate computer monitor. During treatment or research sessions, operators must repeatedly shift their attention between the patient's head, the stimulation coil, and the navigation screen. This interruption can reduce workflow efficiency and make it more difficult to maintain optimal coil placement throughout the session.
TMS Pilot™ was developed to solve this challenge by bringing neuronavigation directly to the stimulation coil.
The compact coil-mounted display receives real-time positioning data from compatible neuronavigation systems and presents the most relevant navigation parameters directly on the coil itself. Instead of looking away from the stimulation site, the operator can monitor coil position, orientation, and targeting accuracy exactly where the stimulation is being delivered.
This approach helps simplify the stimulation workflow and supports consistent coil positioning throughout the entire session. Because navigation feedback remains continuously visible, even small head movements can be recognized immediately and compensated for without interrupting the procedure or repeatedly checking a remote monitor.
