The ISO 14001 certification validates our environmental management policy
at seniorcare, we have made the decision to obtain iso 14001 certification for our environmental management as a manufacturer of furniture for elderly care facilities.
As a manufacturer of care home furniture, we know that the quality and durability of our products are of utmost significance for elderly or dependent individuals, as well as for their caregivers, who are responsible for their well-being.
For this reason, for over a decade now, we submit all our processes to the international standard of quality management, the ISO 9001 certification. An external auditing company reviews and ensures every year that we adhere to strict quality standards in our management.
Now we have taken a step forward in our continuous improvement process. Being perfectly aware of our role in society and of our impact on the environment as a manufacturer of care home furniture, we have decided this year to certify our environmental management with ISO 14001.
The process of obtaining this certification has led us to analyse our processes and rethink our entire waste management system to make it more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly. By minimizing these waste outputs, we contribute to creating a more liveable society for both the present and the future.
The knowledge gained throughout this learning process has enriched and will further enhance Seniorcare’s processes, methodologies, and management systems. It will act as a catalyst and inspiration for making sustainability an integral aspect of all our projects.
At Seniorcare, as a manufacturer of care home furniture, we understand that the quality of our products is our best advertising. This quality should be evident not only in the designs, but also in the manufacturing and materials we use. We leave nothing to chance when it comes to furniture designed for continuous, intensive, and long-term use.
As a result, we exclusively rely on proven-quality materials such as premium beech wood, metal structures manufactured to meet the highest market standards, and sustainable fabrics with properties including antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal, and stain-resistant features. Consequently, our design, production and marketing processes for care home furniture renews its ISO 9001 accreditation year after year. This, combined with the ISO 14001 certification that we’ve just achieved, motivates us to keep progressing every day.
