Our country is a big country with lung tumors, and more and more people suffer from lung tumors. The examination report shows small lung nodules, which makes them worry and fear that they will develop into lung tumors. What is a small lung tumor?

1. Definition of pulmonary nodules

Pulmonary nodules are irregular lesions in the lungs of people with a diameter of less than or equal to 30mm, which appear as dense shadows on imaging tests, sometimes single or multiple, without atelectasis and pleural effusion, and hilar enlargement. However, small pulmonary nodules with well-defined borders, diameters less than or equal to 20 mm, and nodules less than 5mm are called micronodules.

2. Causes of small pulmonary nodules

Lung nodules are related to people smoking and being exposed to second-hand smoke. Excessive life pressure, constant suffocation, excessive staying up late, and anxiety can also cause lung nodules.

3. Clinical classification of small pulmonary nodules

Small pulmonary nodules are classified according to the size of the lesions. The lesions with round growth, clear boundaries and a diameter of more than 30 mm are medically called lung masses; lesions less than 30 mm are pulmonary nodules; lesions less than 20 mm are pulmonary nodules. These are called pulmonary nodules; those smaller than 5 mm are microscopic pulmonary nodules. According to the density classification, it is divided into subsolid and solid nodules. According to the number of classification into single nodules and multiple nodules.
