Development History of Medical trocar Instruments
Sustainable Development of Medical trocar Device Industry
Medical trocar instruments are divided into medical puncture needles and medical trocars. Some medical puncture needles can be used independently, while others need to be used together with the device. The medical puncture needle and supporting devices are combined together, called a medical trocar. There are various types of medical puncture devices, mainly including injection needles/syringes, infusion needles/infusion sets, blood transfusion sets, blood collection needles, insulin pen needles, anesthesia needles, etc. Injection needles/syringes are the most widely consumed medical trocar devices in my country, followed by infusion needles and infusion sets.
Throughout the development of medical trocar devices in China, it can be summarized into three stages:
The first stage (1982-1995): the initial stage of medical puncture devices in China, the main feature is the emergence of disposable medical puncture device products;
The second stage (1995-2000): On the basis of the technology of creating and developing various medical puncture instruments in the first stage, it gradually developed from small to large, and basically formed independent industrial branches, such as puncture needle series, puncture device series, medical high Molecular tube bag series and other branches;
The third stage (2000-present): For the sustainable development of the medical puncture device industry, there has been further thinking and practice in the industry.
In the global market, developed countries such as Europe and the United States have strong economic strength, and medical expenses account for a relatively high proportion of GDP. With the growth of the aging population, these countries have relatively strong demand for mid-to-high-end medical puncture device products. Most of the countries in the Middle East are rich oil-producing countries with good medical conditions, and in recent years, they have gradually become one of the main destinations for the export of medical puncture devices. However, most African countries have not yet established a complete medical device production system, and the devices and equipment used mainly rely on imports, so the market for medical puncture devices has great potential for development.
