CT3000 by Mediplus - Diagnose bladder contractility and obstruction non invasivley
The CT3000 use a similar principal to measuring blood pressure. A penile cuff
is fitted to the patient. The patient then voids in the normal way. The cuff
inflates until flow stops, a pressure reading is taken. The cuff then deflates. This repeats until the patient has finished voiding. Cuff interruption pressure and maximum flow rate are obtained and plotted on a nomogram.
The result provides the clinician on the spot data on obstruction and bladder contractility. This leads to quicker diagnosis and helps determine the most suitable management action. The CT3000 test is very well tolerated by patients so can be repeated multiple times to determine how effective the treatment course has been.
The CT3000 has been approved by the International Continence Society, NHS NTAC and iTAPP groups and is used in many countries around the world.
