Nose-only Inhalation Exposure System

A precise and Modular System for Inhalation Studies

The Nose-only exposure system is suitable for mice, rats, guinea pigs, and other laboratory animals for nose-only drug delivery. It ensures excellent air-tightness and uniform exposure concentration (Drug-containing aerosols generated from liquid-type test samples, dry-powder samples, nanoparticles, or other test gases). Thus, it is a perfect system setup for NOE experiments.

The system guarantees the consistency of the inhalation dose of animals in the same experimental group by using the Online aerosol concentration detection and real-time online sample sampling functions. The high precision control system is adopted to ensure the evenness and stability of exposure.

The exposure system can test for a variety of different substances, including experimental drugs, air pollutants, PM2.5 particles, organic substances, industrial samples, agricultural chemicals, etc. It can be integrated with other systems conveniently to facilitate the creation of acute exposure environments, chronic exposure environments, hypobaric environments, hyperbaric environments, hypoxic environments, hyperoxic environments, and other toxic gas exposure environments.

Hence, it is popular in inhalation exposure studies, drug/pesticides development, Cigarette smoke research, infectious disease, and toxicology studies.

The system comes with a tiered stackable modular design, each level contains 12 ports to test for 12 subjects simultaneously. The system can be stacked up for more channels according to the desired size of the experiment. It performs well in both positive and negative pressure, with minimal cross-rebreathing, and can be used in BSL-I to BSL-IV standards.

The highlight of this system is, it has a 360° revolving function on its base. It is also available in stainless steel or aluminum alloy. Without saying, the most often-used subjects of this system are mice and rats. However, we also provide restraints for larger laboratory animals like rabbits, canines, or even primates.

Each channel is supplied with gas independently, not being affected by the exhaled gas of other subjects, and the drug concentration is proven to be consistent in each channel.

Below are some examples of system integration with other generators, for example, NSF Liquid Aerosol Generator, Dry Powder Aerosol Generator, Cigarette Smoke Generator, AER Liquid Nebulizer, etc.
