Wolf-e Robotics UV-C Disinfection Portfolio for Surgical and Clinical Environments

In addition to destroying microorganisms on surfaces, disinfection robots offer advantages through the automatic recording of disinfection process parameters, ensuring quality assurance.

At Romania's 2022 National Congress of Surgery in Sinaia, Wolf-e Robotics presented its complete range of UV-C air and surface disinfection systems, led by the autonomous WolfBOT robot - a portfolio already deployed in Romanian medical facilities to standardize terminal disinfection.

Manual disinfection has two structural weaknesses in surgical and clinical settings: it exposes staff to aggressive chemical agents, and it cannot reliably reach every contaminated surface. Hospitals increasingly require decontamination that is standardized, documented and repeatable — the same cycle, the same result, every time.

Wolf-e Robotics addresses this with a graduated portfolio designed around clinical use cases. Stand-alone air units (Aer, Aer 500+) run continuously in the presence of people and suit family-doctor offices, dental practices, physiotherapy rooms and clinic corridors. Upper-room germicidal fixtures (Beam) are cited as ten times more effective than mechanical ventilation, elevator units (Lift) disinfect enclosed air, and non-autonomous mobile robots (CoBOT-Ultra, CoBOT-Lite) extend surface and air disinfection where autonomy is not required. At the top of the range, the autonomous WolfBOT navigates and maps spaces on its own, controlled from a mobile application or management platform. It runs 10 UVC tubes at 2000 W lamp power, delivering an irradiance of 6800 μW/cm² at 1 m, with a 12,000-hour lamp lifespan.

Designed and manufactured in Romania and already in use in medical facilities, the system produces 100% reproducible, documented disinfection with complete traceability, reduction up to 99.9999% and no ozone generation. The portfolio was presented at the National Congress of Surgery (Sinaia, June 2022; approximately 800 attendees; congress theme "Advances in Surgical Treatment of Cancer") during the accompanying Medical Exhibition.
