What is the difference between pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary embolism?

Model:Pulmonary Artery IV (PA001-04)

Pulmonary hypertension is an increase in pulmonary artery pressure caused by heart, lung and pulmonary vascular diseases. It can be divided into primary pulmonary hypertension and secondary pulmonary hypertension. Secondary pulmonary hypertension is much more common than primary pulmonary hypertension.

Pulmonary embolism: a group of diseases caused by various emboli from the systemic circulation veins and right heart cavity mechanically blocking the pulmonary artery system, forming pulmonary hypertension, mainly including pulmonary thromboembolism, etc. Long-term pulmonary hypertension can lead to right heart failure, and patients may experience abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, edema of the lower limbs and edema of the whole body. The main clinical manifestations of pulmonary embolism are sudden onset of chest pain, hemoptysis and dyspnea. The treatment of the two is also completely different. We can treat pulmonary embolism with thrombolysis, anticoagulation, intervention or surgery. For pulmonary hypertension, we can use drugs to reduce pulmonary artery pressure and treat the primary disease at the same time.

The model extends from the femoral vein to the heart and pulmonary artery. The model includes major blood vessels such as the femoral vein, iliac vein, inferior vena cava, right atrium, right ventricle, pulmonary artery, superior vena cava, internal jugular vein, and external jugular vein. The left and right pulmonary arteries of the model have 10 pulmonary artery grades respectively, and the ends of the pulmonary vessels have customizable pulmonary embolism, malformations and other lesions. The model can be used for simulation training of pulmonary embolism, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary artery malformations, and venous system interventional pathway training; in addition, it can also be used for the development, testing and verification of pulmonary artery interventional treatment devices; various types of pulmonary artery treatment training and market demonstrations;
